Born and raised in Hong Kong, Vickie emigrated to Canada after high school, earned two degrees from the University of Alberta, and taught elementary school in Edmonton.
Following theological training in Taipei, Vancouver, and Waterloo, she was ordained and served a decade as a Lutheran pastor.
Today, she continues as a pulpit supply pastor and marriage officiant, passionately serving Greater Vancouver's vibrant "East meets West" community.
She intentionally prefers the title "marriage officiant" over "wedding officiant" to highlight that while a wedding lasts just a few hours, marriage is a lifelong journey.
